You guys, did you know I do tons of commercial work? So many fun options and it’s so satisfying to see how dramatically these businesses websites and social media accounts can change and benefit from new photos! Plus they get to put up with my stupid jokes while they get headshots done! What a perk!
Anytime you get to see two babies go absolutely bonkers on a cake is a good time. These two turned one and we celebrated by letting them eat their own little personal cake! It was hilarious to see them get all sorts of covered in frosting!
When the ladies out at Sweet Cheeks asked me to take photos of their newest wines which include a sparkling rose, of course I was 110% on board. Their rose is one of my favorite wines of all time, so I knew I would love their newest creation!
I feel incredibly blessed to be able to be there for the big moments in my friend’s life. Bonus points, if I get to document the crap out of it! I’ve known these two for YEARS, I met Jaci in high school and Ben when they first started dating in college. They’ve been a shining example of a solid relationship ever since. Through out law school, med school, highs and lows so I’m so so so excited for them as they grow their family and bring an athletic, tall, beautiful child into this world!
Congratulations Jaci and Ben, I know you will be the best parents ever!
What an incredible year it has been! Here are a few of my all time favorite 2017 shoots!
One of the biggest, most exciting and totally overwhelming shoots came early in the year. My sister and brother in law had their twin baby girls, Karsyn & Madelynn. Photographing babies has never been a strength of mine, so these shoots continue to challenge me, but the girls are little troopers and put up with so many photos on a regular basis!
2017 was the year of regular food photography and frequent photoshoots that often ended in some delicious meals. Cornbread Cafe has been especially fun because of their bright branding and amazing location. It has also been a delight getting to try all sorts of different vegan comfort food! If you haven’t had their vegan rye, go try it now!
Another first, a first birthday in fact. My friend Becky of Event Crush asked me to photograph her adorable daughters first birthday and I just couldn’t turn it down!
Any photoshoots that involve dogs are automatically my favorite photoshoot. Please, bring your dog, ask about my dog, or pay me to photograph only dogs.
This engagement session was so much fun for a number of reasons, and these two furry friends certainly took it to a whole new level.
General Baos is another restaurant I’ve had the pleasure of working with this year! I’ve been obsessed with steamed buns ever since! If only everything I ate came in steamed bun form!
When a friend asks you to photograph their wedding or engagement session, you go ALL out! If that means spending 12 hours in Portland running all around, having a slumber party and searching the whole city for Cherry Blossoms.
This was one of my most loved photoshoots! I met up with this adorable couple while they were traveling along the coast while visiting from the east coast. There are so many reasons I love this shoot! We were able to make it to Hug Point at low tide, these two cuties were absolute troopers despite the freezing cold weather and the ICY ocean! AND I was able to sneak in a little trip by bringing the hubby and the pup!
Another amazing restaurant I got to work with is Ambrosia! Some of the best food I’ve had this year has come directly from this incredible place! I will be forever thinking about their scallops and pizza!
Any day I get to go to a waterfall is a good day!
The more epic the location, the more badass the photos! I LOVED meeting these two at Cathedral Park in the spring!
Couples in love, that will always been my favorite! Bonus points for a growing family!
This wedding was an amazing combination of totally relaxed and amazingly glamorous, you don’t see that very often and I’m in heaven when it happens! Plus some of the most amazing flowers I’ve ever seen!
Early summer weddings in a vineyard. Love love love!
These two are both friends of mine, and also two of the most badass athletes I know!
Alongside Becky from Event Crush and some amazing local folks, I planned a super fun Oregon Coast Styled shoot! So much work, but so much fun!
My cousin got married, AND I got to photograph it! AND flew to Wyoming for it!
Just an all around epic shoot.
Remember that thing I said about dogs?
Some weddings are that perfect mix of emotional, meaningful and downright fun!
Those madly in love take the best pictures!
I took headshots for my friend and partner in crime at Engaging Eugene at her favorite coffeeshop, Washburne Cafe. Working primarily inside with window light can either be tough or the best thing ever!
I PHOTOGRAPHED A PROPOSAL!!
I PHOTOGRAPHED AN EVENT FOR DOGS! All the dog portraits ever!
Some of my favorite weddings are in Central Oregon, plus I get to adventure around Bend!
Watching families grow and evolve is one of the highlights of my job. Seeing these families every year allows me to see cuties like this grow up in front of my eyes!
The most fairy tale of all fairy tale weddings!
Remember those two I adventured around in Portland with for 12 hours? They got married and it was perfect!
This was another amazing wedding, I’m falling more and more in love with winery weddings. The gorgeous surroundings and the elegant touches make for such a delightful day!
Adventures on the coast are just so hard to beat!
This is the second year I get to go on a Hop Harvest adventure with Ninkasi and hopefully not the last!
Note to self, bring more appropriate shoes next time. But I’m always down for a farm adventure, especially if I get to see a pony, peacock or both!
Another day where friends got married! It’s even better when you know the couple personally and you can’t wait for them to be married and living happily ever after!
MONUMENTAL: Babies are way less terrified of me!
Dogs, always bring dogs.
These two brought me to an epic tree farm, put up with me pointing out every tiny Charlie Brown Christmas tree and even gave me hot chocolate!
I photographed their wedding in 2016 and now they have the cutest little babe!
Chilly weather and cute layers, fall is definitely the best time for engagement sessions!
I’ve been doing more and more senior photos in 2017 and I’m so excited about it!
Fall and engagement sessions justtooperfect!
I honestly cannot say it enough, thank you for making 2017 one of the best years of my life! I’m so proud to be where I am now, and I hope to grow, change and improve my life and my business in the years to come! I am so incredibly excited to see what 2018 has in store, I feel like it’s going to be a good one!!
I love you all!! xoxo Stevi
