I have been looking forward to Mckenzie & Drew’s wedding for probably more than a year now. Ever since their super fun engagement session I knew they were going to be so much fun to hang out with, work with and photograph! I even asked them to be models for a zombie themed shoot around this time last year! From that point on they became one of my favorite couples of all time! I knew their wedding would be equal parts super fun and totally romantic. I especially loved to see their reactions to seeing each other for the first time all dresses up, and to get to hear stories of the two of them reminiscing about how they first met. There are few things in this world I love more than couples who are truly in love.Venue: Blue Rooster InnCoordination: Green Eyed Girl ProductionsCatering: Mi Tierra Mexican Restaurant and part potluckDesserts: Sweet Life – pies, cupcakes, & the small cake. There are so many things I loved about Sarah and Colin’s wedding! I love to see a couple take a traditional element of the wedding day and turn it on it’s head! A perfect example of this was the stunning bouquet which was made entirely out of succulents! How AMAZING is that?! I also loved to see food trucks instead of the traditional plated dinner or buffet line. Oh her dress!!! Just take a minute to admire this amazingly gorgeous and unique dress!!!
On top of all those fun and unique elements to their day, Sarah and Colin are two of the sweetest, most adorable and totally rad people you will ever meet! I just know they will be so happy together!!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I LOVE small weddings! The smaller the better! There is nothing I love more than an intimate gathering of friends and family to celebrate the couple. I love to see how relaxed the day is, how simple the planning can be and how special the day is when the focus is really on love, family and the importance of the commitment made.
Bonus, more cake to go around! 😉

The wedding day was so much fun, so full of excited family and friends who came from far and wide to wish the newlyweds the best! Typically a wedding last just one day and we pack photos, celebrating, speeches, tears, food, more photos and maybe some more photos all into one day. This makes for a crazy long day and sometimes the bride and groom don’t get much of a chance to share stories, say hi to everyone, all the while making lasting memories. For that reason, I LOVED to see Katie and Adam shake things up a bit. Instead of one day with everything packed into it, they split the wedding between a Friday and Saturday. These photos are from Friday’s ‘Love and Light Ceremony’ where the couple read their vows, told stories and heard wonderful memories and toasts from their closest friends and family. This was an intimate, candle lit evening with just the closest of friends/family. I loved seeing how relaxed, touching and wonderful this evening was and I was honored to be a part of such a wonderful day!
Katie and Adam’s wedding day photos coming soon!!
