I’ve known Carolyne since high school back in Ashland Oregon and we’ve kept in contact this whole time, taken about a million pictures together, I talked her into second shooting one of my most challenging weddings of all time and we rowed together on a crew team for years! We’ve been through some crazy and fun stuff together so when she told me she was engaged I could barely handle it! And i was even more excited when she asked me to photograph her wedding, what an honor!?! I hadn’t met her new fiance yet, but I knew any guy she liked would be amazing, and of course he is!
For our shoot, we planned one doozy of a weekend! I came up and met them at the Portland Waterfront for sunset followed by Council Crest photos, hanging out, delicious dinner and an early night because we would be up at sunrise for more photos and more adventures! We had our hearts set on cherry blossoms but due to some crazy winds all the blooms on the waterfront were gone, but we found some at the Japanese Garden and down to NW 23rd for coffee at one of the fanciest and prettiest coffeeshops I’ve ever been to, Barista.
Then for more flowers we treked to Owen Rose Garden in Eugene! It was a wild, totally packed shoot and oh so much fun!! I’m thinking I might have to make more of my engagement sessions full on adventures, I loved all the variety and getting to know these two as a couple was just the best!!
